Employees need to be able to understand abuse and related terms and identify individuals who are vulnerable to become victims of abuse. This webinar will teach the attendees to know their obligations under the Elder Justice Act of 2009 and the will learn the general reporting procedures for suspected cases of abuse or neglect.

Objectives

• Properly describe “abuse” and related terms and definitions
• Identify individuals who may be considered vulnerable to become victims of abuse
• Properly recognize the types, signs and symptoms of elder and child abuse
• Describe aspects of the Elder Justice Act and reporting procedures
• Successfully determine the general reporting procedures for suspected cases of abuse or neglect

CEUs will be provided through AARC for RTs for 1 credit per webinar (must attend the live webinar) and RSTCE for ATPs for .1 credit per webinar.
